Accepting and rejecting markup
As a part of the signer experience, your signer might choose to submit markup to a signature form upon reviewing the form. The signer selects to add Markup to the document, and can add highlights, textboxes, strikethroughs, and comments to the signature form.
When this occurs, the signature form doesn't receive a signature, but is uploaded as a comment in the Stream of the file room. If you're the sender of the document, you receive an email notification that a comment was added to the stream. You can either click on the link in the email to view the File Room, or you can log in to your portal and navigate to the particular file.
To accept and reject markup:
- Open the File Room either via email, or by navigating to View My Files > File Name > View Room.
- Click on the name of the signature form from the Stream. The Markup editor opens.
- Review the markups submitted by your signer.
- Click Accept or Reject at the top right of the screen for each markup. If you click Accept, you're asked to confirm, if you click Reject, you're asked to enter a reason why.
Once you accept and/or reject the proposed changes, a new comment is added to the Stream with your accepted changes or rejection comments for your signer to review. If you accept changes, you should upload a new signature form to the file with the updated version.
